Well, it’s that time of year again. The 2013-2014 NHL season has officially ended. A team has been awarded the National Hockey League’s greatest prize and the other 28 teams are left with a bitter taste in their mouth and the hope that next year they will be the ones celebrating with Lord Stanley.
Regardless of whether or not your team made the playoffs or who you were rooting for, there is still a grandness when that cup gets hoisted. It is not just a trophy, though even if it were that would be magnificent in itself. The Stanley Cup represents a goal being reached, a dream coming true, and hard work paying off.
